Roger has worked in a range of natural resource/environmental management (NRM), agriculture and food manufacturing functions. John is passionate about building strong relationships and collaborating with stakeholders on programs that support the adaptive capacity of the community and improve environmental and food production outcomes. Underpinning this role is his Landcare experience in capacity building, project and contract management. He previously managed a dairy manufacturing plant at Leitchville, Northern Victoria for 15 years. Managing quality, food safety, food manufacturing, process improvement, wastewater treatment and irrigation re-use, environmental and systems management.
Karen Lyons
Operations Manager
Karen Lyons has a bachelor’s in law/finance with over 20years experience in Project management, finance management and community development over a number of organisation inclusive of banking institutes, hospitality and public facilities.
Karen has extensive experience in project development, from initiation through to final completion, along with budgeting and development in expansions of conceptual ideas.
Karen has managed Staff teams of over 200 in process and development roles, HR capabilities of process, performance, document preparation, development and reporting, strong knowledge of Governance and structures.
Kiralee O'Neill
Project Officer
Kiralee has built a diverse business career across family enterprise, agriculture, creative industries, and regional development. She began her career in the timber industry within a family-owned business, where she held management, administration, and leadership roles, gaining strong operational and strategic experience.
As the co-owner and founder of Mack and Mills, Kiralee created and managed a highly successful business in the wedding and event industry, specialising in the design, development, and delivery of bespoke events. The business gained a strong reputation for creativity, professionalism, and exceptional client outcomes.
Clare Trezise
Local Landcare Coordinator
The Western Murray Land Improvement Group recently welcomed Clare Trezise onboard as one of their Local Landcare Coordinators.
Clare has lived just across the river in the local Cohuna area for 15yrs and runs a dairy farm with her husband. With a background in NRM and community education, and an interest in all things outdoors, Clare is looking forward to working with the local community on environmental projects and new opportunities.
Belinda Wielinga
Environmental Senior Project Officer
Belinda studied Forest Science at the University of Melbourne, and has worked in NSW softwood plantations, and growing Sandalwood in Northern WA.
Since relocating to the area with her young family in late 2023, Belinda has worked on the Barham Lakes nursery project and Forestry Contracts. Belinda loves being in the field and is passionate about growing trees for a wide range or reasons, including protecting biodiversity and creating habitat.
Luke Ward
Agricultural Project Officer
Since relocating to Australia from the UK, Luke has worked in conservation and natural resource management for community-based organisations. Luke completed his Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Conservation Biology at Deakin University, with a minor in Indigenous Studies. Luke values a community-led approach that support community wellbeing and healthy ecosystmes, where strong partnerships with Traditional Owners are maintained, and locals can build their skills to manage the land. Luke is very interested in wildlife, improving agricultural outcomes, and conservation practices that deliver beneficial outcomes.
